The main southern view from Sapphire Point Overlook looks over the Blue River Arm of Lake Dillon and onto Crown Point Peninsula. And behind that is the stunning entirety of the Tenmile Mountain Range from Tenmile Peak on the right to Crystal Peak on the left. Most of the rest of the peaks in the range are numbered from 1 through 10 (left to right from the overlook). Peaks 6 through 10 are where the Breckenridge Ski Resort calls home. There is second view from the overlook that looks to the west. This looks over Giberson Bay of Lake Dillon and up to the large and imposing Buffalo Mountain. And if you look through or around the trees to the southwest, you can see Silver Dollar Island resting on the far side of the Blue River Arm. Sapphire Point Overlook is perhaps the gold standard for Colorado intimate weddings. It’s a reservable space well-suited for small weddings. There’s decent parking, a short groomed trail, a flat prepared event surface, cell service, a mountain view and probably most key is that it is a quick and easy drive from either Breckenridge, Dillon, Silverthorne or Frisco. It also helps that the admin authority issues time slots in 2-hour blocks that are exceptionally well timed for intimate weddings. Overall, almost no matter your criteria, this is one of the better spaces to get married at in Colorado.
