Maroon Bells Amphitheater has one of the most iconic views in the state and is the most stunning when the aspen leaves are changing colors. The amphitheater itself is comprised of a concrete deck and three rows of benches. It is off to the side of the main pathways and hiking areas so although the location gets very busy, the site itself is rarely disturbed by passerbys. Parking passes are required to park up at Maroon Bells but a shuttle does run between Maroon Bells and Aspen Highlands. Maroon Creek Road is closed during the winter and access to the Maroon Bells Area is possible but only via walking, cross country skiing or by snowmobile. Getting a reservation here can be a challenge. Often the Amphitheater is booked solid six months in advance with people waiting each day to grab a shot at a reservation. There are some interesting areas around the Amphitheater for couples photos that include a bridge, a lake and aspen groves among others.
