Colorow Point on Lookout Mountain is the closest ceremony site to Denver with a mountain top view. The view is unique as you can see the Rocky Mountains rise up from the Colorado plains. The trail is pretty rocky and a little bit steep, but it is also very short. There are a few places to do a ceremony up here, but they are all small, almost tight, spaces. Due to it’s height and close proximity to the Denver Metro Area, the mountain is a communication hub for all manner of TV and radio. This does cause some disruption to normal cell phone service and it’s not uncommon to get weak or even zero service at the top. There is ample parking at the Lookout Mountain Nature Center & Preserve and the ceremony site is more or less just a walk across the road. Don’t follow the small ‘Lookout Mtn Trail’ sign, when you see it turn to your left. You’ll need to walk around the rock formation to the right to get the view to the north.
