Garden of the Gods – High Point Overlook

High Point Overlook has dramatic views in multiple directions and affords several terrific spots to get married. The best of which is probably a flat rocky spot 50 yards down the road which lets you look back toward the Garden of the Gods rock formations (good for about 16 guests) And for a change of pace, if you turn to the west you can see Pikes Peak, Mt. Manitou and Cameron Cone. There are couple other spaces you can do a ceremony in this area around the various rocks which could probably support around 20 guests, but likely with more passerbys. If you want to crank it up past 20, you’ll likely going to have to use the structure area they’ve provided. There aren’t any restrooms here, but if pressed you can probably find a nearby establishment with facilities in town. There are other advertised locations within Garden of the Gods where they allow weddings, but in our opinion they are all of much lesser quality. The other sites suffer from either an extreme number of people walking past, poor ceremony backgrounds or it’s impossible/extremely time consuming to find parking. The rock formations are a national treasure and there are lots of small rock walls and interesting places for couples photography nearby.
