Chautauqua Trailhead – Baseline Trail

Between Baseline Trail and Baseline Road in Chautauqua Park is an area that is available for small intimate weddings without a permit. Any further into the park and there are some restrictions. If you park near the intersection of 6th St. & Baseline Rd. you can quickly and easily take a few steps up to Baseline Trail. That is to say, you don’t need to park at the trailhead. However, parking in this area is metered, so plan ahead for that. That view of the flatirons here is truly breathtaking. And if you catch the area at the right time, there are lots of wildflowers that bloom here. There’s really no set spot to a wedding so you’re on your own to find the spot that works in the area. The wild grasses here can get up to 2ft tall. This is a popular area as it’s right on the edge of Boulder, easy to get to, has cell service and great views. There are picnic tables and porta potties back at the Chautauqua Park Lawn a block or two away.
