The Chautauqua Park Lawn is a bright open space with great views of the flatirons. Trees and picnic tables surround the lawn which make for great breaks from the sun. And while it is possible to reserve for larger events, smaller events don’t require a permit. However, parking in this area, even the parking lot, is metered, so plan ahead for that. If you want to be frugal about it or just don’t want to mess with the parking app, if you park on 10th and higher streets they aren’t metered, but you’ll need to walk a block or two. The view of the flatirons here is great. There’s really no set spot on the lawn to do a wedding, so you can choose anywhere that works for you. The lawn here is well taken care of and has been in good condition anytime we’ve visited. This is a popular area as it’s right on the edge of Boulder, easy to get to, has cell service and great views.
