Cathedral Point Overlook is one of those rare locations that is close to a major city, but feels fairly remote all at the same time. The view is spectacular with a few rocks in the forefront and long, deep views of the mountains behind. There’s plenty of flat ground for guests to stand and watch. And there is a short path from the parking area to the overlook which is pretty easy to follow plus a picnic table too. The parking area is an odd shape and if you have several vehicles you may need to double park. There are no restrooms here or nearby, so plan accordingly. It is a little difficult to talk about Cathedral Point Overlook without talking about Lost Gulch Overlook which is only a couple hundred yards away. Lost Gulch Overlook is very popular and well known in intimate wedding circles, while Cathedral Point Overlook, is well, overlooked. Heh, heh. But that is all to say that this really is a great intimate wedding spot that at least for right now is a hidden gem.
