With stunning views of Little Pawnee Peak and Mount Audubon, the lakeshore of Brainard Lake is a great intimate wedding spot. It is a wildly popular location and so much so that there are times when despite the large expansive parking lots, it gets full. While there are likely to be a hundred or so people in the area, the lakeshore is off on it’s own and you’re unlikely to get too many passerbys (comparatively). It’s a well cared for area largely because it has to be. There are a plethora of amazing trails in the area that take hikers to Mitchell Lake, Long Lake, Lake Isabelle, Blue Lake, Niwot Ridge and the summit of Mount Audubon. There are picnic tables in the picnicking area which are largely shaded by trees. Long Lake and Lake Isabelle feed into Brainard Lake via the South Saint Vrain Creek. Definitely check with the admin authority to see how populated the area will be for your event before choosing the site.
